Çerma tricolor pepper in European markets - Balluku: Model greenhouse cultivation with biological protection and quality
Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku has attended meetings to promote enterprises that are contributing to household economies and the country's economic development.
She stopped at one of the greenhouses in the Çerma area, which cultivates tricolor peppers for the European market.
Although from Mallakastra, the entrepreneur has invested in this area a model greenhouse, with an area of 3 hectares. The cultivation of tricolor pepper is done through biological protection, guaranteeing a quality and clean product that is marketed everywhere in Europe. Meanwhile, this venture is not only a family business, but farmers from the area are also employed in this greenhouse.
The Albanian government aims to reach 1 billion euros in agricultural exports by 2030, currently there are 540 million.
This year, there are also expected to be subsidies for biological protection, moving to another stage, where Albanian products can compete worthily in European supermarkets.
