Tariffs on Albanian goods - Berisha: We will remove barriers with the US, we will fill world markets
At a time when the 10% tariffs imposed by the United States of America on Albanian goods being exported have come into effect, the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, in a conference together with the United Trade Unions, promised that these tariffs will be lifted.
"We will do everything so that "Made in Albania" fills the Albanian markets and the world's markets. The US has imposed a tariff system because everyone has had tariffs on them. This is the truth. Learn the truth. All those who are crying today have had tariffs. Albania will not have any tariffs on American goods and I am convinced that this will also happen with the US government after we remove them. Once again, I guarantee you a loyal partnership and your voice, a strong advocate for working people, will be a voice that will be heard by the government."
Regarding salaries, Berisha emphasized that there will be no salary below 500 Euros and that hourly wages will be established. He also promised to reduce taxes for businesses to 10 percent.
