Albania and Israel have officially launched direct flights with a frequency of 3 flights per week. Meanwhile, after the Tirana - Tel Aviv air connection, the possibility of direct flights between Albania and Slovenia is also being considered.
The Executive Director of the Civil Aviation Authority (AAC), Maksim Et'hemaj, during a meeting with the Ambassador of Slovenia to the Republic of Albania, Jakob Štunf, also discussed the transfer of knowledge, especially in aircraft maintenance, as well as the use of available resources, depending on the needs and development of Civil Aviation professionals, exploring potential in the field of technology and digitalization, as well as their application in civil aviation.
On February 26, 2025, Tirana International Airport (TIA) and Air Albania inaugurated a new direct route between Tirana and Geneva, further expanding the possibilities of air connectivity between Albania and Europe. Meanwhile, the launch of direct flights to the USA is eagerly awaited.
Currently, the airport is expanding the terminal, building new aircraft parking positions, and implementing advanced passenger processing technologies, ensuring a faster and more efficient experience.
