Solar power plants, interest from investors - New application to the Ministry of Energy, 70 MW project in Savër, Lushnja

Solar energy remains in the focus of private investors, interested in building large photovoltaic power plants. The trend marked last year with a high number of applications, seems to be continuing this year, as another expression of interest has arrived at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy.
The request was made by the company “3X ENERGY” sh.pk, which has submitted an application for the construction of a photovoltaic plant with an installed capacity of 70 MW, located in the village of Savër, Lushnje. The project is not subject to a concession and does not benefit from government support measures. This means that in the event of finalization, it does not benefit from state facilities for documentation or guarantees for the sale of the energy produced.
Meanwhile, the year 2026 has also started with numerous government approvals of electricity projects. One of them foresees the construction of a wind power plant in the Mollaj Administrative Unit, in the Municipality of Korça, with a capacity of 55 MW, while the second decision approved the construction of a photovoltaic plant with a capacity of 10 MW in the village of Vlashaj, Bulqizë Municipality. Also, just a week ago, the construction of a photovoltaic plant in the village of Rrakull, in the Municipality of Kavajë, with an estimated capacity of 95 MW, was also approved.
Construction companies will exchange 2% of their annual energy production with the state for free, or its monetary value, and are required to comply with all environmental permits and procedures.
These projects add to the list of energy plants approved by the government over the past year.
