FSHU's positive balance reduced the price of energy - 30 million lek profit in 2023, expectations for 2024 increase to 1 billion lek

According to figures reported by this department to the Energy Regulatory Authority, the financial result for 2023 is a profit of around 30 million lek, while for the year that just ended a profit of around 1 billion lek is expected. The closing of these years with a positive balance comes after 2021 when the public supply company came out with a loss.
Financial results were one of the arguments used by FSHU, which is part of OSHEE Group, for reducing the price of energy for the household consumption category up to 700 kWh.
"In the context of the significant improvement in the company's financial situation, as well as the development perspective for 2025, we request a reassessment of the costs that determine the price for Universal Service Customers, who are supplied at the low voltage level of 0.4 kV," the FSHU request stated, among other things.
Meanwhile, as a result of the reduction in the price of energy to 8.5 lek/kWh from 9.5 lek/kWh for customers consuming up to 700 kWh of energy per month, a decrease in income is predicted for 2025. However, expectations are that the balance for 2025 will also be positive, with a profit value of around 25 million lek.
