Vlora Airport receives code from the International Air Transport Association
IATA (International Air Transport Association) has assessed the application of Vlora International Airport in accordance with international standards and has assigned it the airport and ticketing code, VLO.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, made the announcement on Sunday.
IATA is the highest level of air travel according to global standards, with the most powerful airlines, with favorable prices and cheaper than on their official websites, and for this, the travel agency needs to be accredited by IATA.
This allows travel agencies to sell tickets on behalf of leading international airlines.
A few days ago, Deputy Prime Minister Balluku said: “In the first days of May, Air Albania will make its inaugural flight, touching the largest runway in the Balkans of 3.2 km.”
Vlora International Airport is expected to become another major gateway for all visitors who choose Albania to visit and relax, bringing with it the high flow of air traffic from Rinas Airport.
Vlora Airport will be the gateway to Southern Albania and the gateway to the development of tourism, which will operate with over 3 business models: civil aviation, aircraft maintenance and a genuine cargo and will be expanded to 22 thousand square meters of terminal.
