CAA: Drone flights over the Palace of Congresses will be restricted on June 17
The Civil Aviation Authority has announced the imposition of a temporary restriction on flights over the area of the Palace of Congresses in Tirana, as part of activities to celebrate the Independence Day of the United States of America.
According to the official announcement, the restriction will be in effect on June 17, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM local time, at the request of the responsible security authorities and in cooperation with Albcontrol.
The restriction zone includes a radius of 150 meters from the center of the Palace of Congresses and a height of up to 120 meters above sea level. This restriction will be published through the relevant NOTAM.
During this period, the operation of unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) in the designated area will not be permitted.
The Civil Aviation Authority has called on the media and drone operators to take the necessary measures to avoid planning or carrying out flights during the restriction hours.
According to the institution, the measure aims to guarantee security during festive activities and coordinate airspace in the relevant area.
