Are businesses more satisfied with Taxes? - KI Survey: Improvement in communication, but still problems in fiscalization

According to the Investment Council survey, in 2025, 59% of businesses assessed that communication with the tax administration had improved, an increase compared to the period 2019–2024. However, this perception remains lower than the level recorded in 2018, indicating that there is still room for further improvement in the relationship between business and the tax administration.
Meanwhile, regarding electronic tax services, the data shows a more positive trend since 2022, especially in terms of reliability, accessibility and data quality. Despite this improvement, the level of business satisfaction still remains lower compared to the period 2017–2019.
Regarding the fiscalization system, an increase in the positive perception of businesses regarding customer service satisfaction during the fiscalization process is observed in 2025. However, challenges remain, as 7 out of 10 companies believe that the creation of an electronic service with telephone support is necessary to address the problems encountered in practice.
At the same time, the survey also highlights an increasing trend in business participation in trainings organized by the General Directorate of Taxation, especially those related to the implementation of tax legislation, fiscalization and the income law. This growing interest indicates the ongoing need of businesses for information and clarity on legal and procedural changes.
