Will Albanians reduce their vacations in Dubai? Çobo: So far, every reservation is suspended

The recent tensions in the Middle East are being reflected not only in international markets, but also in the tourism sector. Destinations like Dubai, preferred by Albanians both for holidays and as a transit point to Asia, are facing uncertainty in reservations.
"We use Dubai not only for tourists who go to Dubai, but as a transit area to go to Bali, Singapore, Thailand and other countries, because it is a very important airport. Given the situation, we have almost suspended them, I even have reservations for March, on these official holiday dates, they have simply been suspended, because the situation updates every 24 hours," said Klodiana Çobo.
Travel agencies report increased interest and questions from citizens, while some trips have been suspended until the situation is clarified.
"They have been increased because tourism requires security. We are headed towards Dubai, as the safest place in the world and for this reason everyone is wondering if there is a feeling of unrest somewhere, because tourism is a very sensitive field and citizens who travel want security first. From March, flights or plans to Dubai will probably be somewhat reduced, but not more than that," explained Çobo.
As the situation in the region remains volatile and developments change from day to day, citizens are being more cautious in planning their vacations. According to tour operators, security remains the top priority, while reservations are expected to be adjusted depending on the course of events in the Middle East.
