In the first 6 months, fruit and vegetable exports increased by 10% - Minister Denaj: Products Made in Albania, competitive in elite markets
The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Anila Denaj, announced that Albanian agricultural exports, during the January-June period, have marked a significant increase of 10% compared to a year earlier.
During the first 6 months of 2025, 169,042 tons of quality, fresh fruits and vegetables were exported, while in the same period of 2024, 153,987 tons of fruits and vegetables were exported.
According to Minister Denaj, Albanian lands have become a source of quality Made in Albania products that guarantee a sustainable supply, as well as affirm our country as a dignified competitor in elite world markets, reflecting the dedication and empowerment of our farmers.
In total exports, those that lead and have the highest demand from foreign consumers are Albanian fresh fruits and vegetables. The favorable climate and the opportunity to cover regional markets with untapped potential make Albania a country with promising potential in several sectors, especially in agriculture.
On the other hand, Albanian products during the summer season occupy an important place in the domestic market, supplying not only the demand of domestic consumers but also of foreign tourists, who when visiting Albania are more oriented towards local products.
