48 "powerful" projects, ready for implementation - Unique list/ What are the major investments that are taking "life" in Albania?

120 major investments in Albania are part of the Unique List of Projects of National Importance.
The list contains public investment projects, which represent strategic importance in terms of the country's economic and social development, regardless of their source of financing.
The new list published in the Official Gazette as part of the 2026-2028 priority policy document categorizes projects that capture significant monetary values, according to their priority level in A, B and C, as well as divided into categories, mature, partially mature and immature.
Mature projects are considered those projects for which a feasibility study has been conducted and is considered feasible, or when the project is in an advanced stage of compiling technical documents.
There are 48 such projects in this status, in all sectors, where infrastructure projects such as the Rehabilitation of the Fier–Kthesa e Patosit–Frataj road worth 40 million euros, Construction of the Saranda bypass worth 34 million euros, Construction of the Elbasan–Lekaj road axis, Corridor VIII worth 360 million euros; Infrastructure program – improvement of regional connectivity worth 195 million euros; Construction of the Tirana bypass worth 223 million euros; Adriatic-Ionian Corridor – Milot –Balldren segment worth 213 million euros; Expansion of the Tirana–Durrës highway worth 298.8 million euros; Construction of the Tirana–Ndroq–Plepa road worth 87 million euros; Construction of the Elbasan bypass worth 240 million euros can be mentioned.
Also, among the priority projects that have already matured are the railway ones, which include the Rehabilitation of the Durrës-Rrogozhinë railway line worth approximately 123 million euros; Electrification of the Tirana-Durres railway line and connection to Rinas Airport worth 27.5 million euros; Electrification of the Vorë-Hani i Hoti railway line worth approximately 60 million euros, and the Rehabilitation of the Vorë-Hani i Hoti railway worth 313 million euros.
There are also a number of priority projects in the fields of energy, environment, health, education, economic development, regional development, justice, etc.
An important project is related to the digitalization of local government services and the electronic procurement system with artificial intelligence with a value of 77 million euros, which will have a significant impact on services for citizens.
Meanwhile, 36 projects are on the list of partially matured and another 36 are immature.
