4 fares for the axis Thumanë - Kashar - Payment from 1.8 - 8.8 euros, calculated according to the vehicle category
January 4th marks the start of the application of the fee for crossing the Thumane - Kashar road axis. The announcement by the concessionaire was made in mid-December, based on the contract approved by the government in May 2022.
Referring to the document for crossing this road, 4 levels of fees will be applied, depending on the type of vehicle, rounded to one figure without a decimal point.
Payment can be made in euro or lek currency. The fee in Lek will be the amount calculated with the official exchange rate of the Bank of Albania on the date of the start of the operation.
According to the contract, the concession company will apply a fee of 2.1 euros, without VAT per vehicle or 2.5 euros, with VAT, adjusted as the case may be, depending on the classification of the vehicle.
The first classification includes tricycles, for which the 0.7 coefficient will be applied. This means that the fee for this category of vehicles is 1.8 euros, including VAT. The second category is cars, for which the basic fee of 2.5 euros, including VAT, will be applied.
The third category includes trucks, buses and other vehicles with less than 4 axles for which the 2.5 coefficient is applied. This means that the fee for this category of tools is 6.3 euros, including VAT.
Meanwhile, the last category includes trucks or other vehicles with 4 or more axles, for which a coefficient of 3.5 is provided, reaching a fee of 8.8 euros, including VAT.
The Tuamë - Kashar highway has a length of 21 kilometers.
