385 million lek for the connecting roads of the Llogara tunnel - The winning company for the works is announced. The project, with 3 components
With a bid of around 385 million lek, the Gjoka Construction company has been announced the winner for the construction of the connecting roads of the Llogara tunnel, an intervention that affects the road after exiting the tunnel.
The project consists of 3 components. The first includes the tunnel - Palasë axis, a road segment that will meet the requirements of category C2, secondary interurban road.
Meanwhile, since the existing road has a considerable slope, its rehabilitation is proposed to consist of segments with different widths and characteristics, with the aim of increasing the level of service of the rehabilitated road.
The second component of the project is the construction of a new axis, which will connect the old road with the new Palasë - Dhërmi road. This segment will also be of category C2, but will also ensure the movement of pedestrians and cyclists in the area, without compromising road safety.
The two above segments will be connected by a roundabout, which also constitutes the third component of the project.
The implementation of this project aims to address traffic problems, especially during the summer season. According to the tender documents, during the summer season, traffic jams occur along the length of the road, as a result of the large influx of tourists in this area. While during the winter season, technical conditions deteriorate, increasing the risk of incidents that may occur.
