January 27, financial compensation of owners - whose properties are affected by informal constructions - begins. The process is unlimited in time.
The Property Treatment Agency announces that the process of accepting requests from beneficiary entities for financial compensation of real estate owners affected by informal constructions will begin on January 27, 2025. This process will not be conditional and time-limited.
All interested parties can apply online on the e-albania portal "application for compensation in value for owners of real estate, private property affected by informal constructions".
According to ATP, the applicant entity, at the time of the online application, must upload and then send via postal service the necessary documentation, such as the request for property compensation; proof of inheritance; special power of attorney, signed by all entities that benefit from compensation; photocopy of the identification document, as well as the original certificate issued by a second-tier bank for opening a bank account, where the financial value obtained will be transferred. They must also submit a payment order, which certifies the payment of the service fee in the amount of 2,000 lek.
According to the announcement of the Property Treatment Agency, beneficiary entities whose application was not accepted due to lack of documentation during previous procedures have the right to reapply. These entities do not pay a service fee, if they prove payment during the previous application.
Referring to the latest government decision on January 9, about 1 billion lek are available for this process, for a total compensation area of 88 thousand 358 square meters.
