26-year-old from Baldushku who runs the farm - Appeal to young people/ "Take up livestock farming, it's a job that gives you income"

Despite the fact that livestock farming is a declining sector and emigration has negatively impacted its potential for development, there are still young people who have not abandoned it and see it as a business opportunity.
One of these young people is Emiliano Qeraj, a 26-year-old from Baldushku, who has also been a beneficiary of direct support for the registered basic herd from the Agricultural Subsidy Scheme. On National Youth Day, the livestock farmer calls on his peers to turn their attention to livestock farming.
"I am from the village of Balduksh in Tirana. I have been raising cows for 15 years. I currently have 14 cows and 15 calves, we produce about 200 liters of milk per day, which we sell at the collection points we have near the area. The work has its difficulties, but when you do something with desire and passion, it is easier to achieve. I also urge you to engage in livestock farming because it is a job that gives you a lot of income and never leaves you without anything."
According to INSTAT data, as a result of the reduction in the number of livestock, for 2024, 95 thousand tons of milk were collected in the Albanian territory, while compared to the previous year, the quantity decreased by 6.6 percent. While meat production decreased by 3.8 percent.
