"1FUTURE", the EU's plan against climate change - Albanian universities, in "action" for a sustainable future
Climate change is a global challenge, so international institutions are taking steps to make this challenge as manageable as possible for the economy.
One of the initiatives in this regard is the "1FUTURE" program, which aims to strengthen the capacities of higher education institutions to implement environmental policies.
This program focuses on the younger generation, considering them as the first to become aware and act for a more sustainable future.
The tourism sector, which has performed at high levels over the last two years by registering a high number of visitors, is among the most affected by climate change.
But how does the “1FUTURE” program aim to contribute to this sector?
The "1FUTURE" program comes to Albania as part of initiatives funded by European Union programs, supporting international cooperation projects in higher education.
This program will be present in all faculties of the University of Tirana, helping to integrate sustainability and climate issues into academic programs.
