17 tons of goods without invoices in just one month/ Action on invoices for agricultural products, 112 administrative measures
During the month of August, approximately 17 tons of goods not accompanied by a fiscal invoice were identified throughout the country.
Referring to data from the General Directorate of Taxes during August 2025, continuous controls and monitoring were carried out in the markets of agricultural and livestock products in all regions of the country, with the aim of guaranteeing that each product is accompanied by a tax invoice and ensuring transparency for the consumer.
The action results in the fact that during this period, 10 markets were placed under monitoring and a total of 59 controlled entities were inspected.
The controls identified 17 tons of goods without tax invoices and for this reason 112 administrative measures were imposed on entities caught in violation.
In order to formalize the agricultural and livestock products trading sector, the Tax Administration, on July 14, launched an on-site inspection to verify fiscalized invoices, in accordance with the law, among taxpayers who carry out activities in the trading of agricultural and livestock products, both wholesale and retail.
At the beginning of the action, taxes clarified that individuals registered as "street vendors", based on the tax legislation in force, are not required to issue tax invoices nor to maintain tax documentation for the goods or services they sell.
This action was taken with the aim of avoiding tax evasion in this sector, increasing food security, and increasing revenues in the state budget.
The tax administration appeals to businesses involved in the food chain to comply with the law by documenting every transaction with a tax invoice to avoid administrative measures.
