15.5 million euros for energy purchase - KESH's expenses for the month of November, the annual bill reaches 59.3 million euros
About 15.5 million euros is the bill for the purchase of energy during the month of November. The lack of rain during this month, forced the Albanian Electric Corporation to return to energy purchases, as 2 tendering procedures were developed to meet the needs of the community.
In total, KESH bought about 100 thousand mWh of energy, while the price at which the energy was provided varies from 147-157 euros/mWh.
These were the first procedures for purchasing energy developed after 3 months, that KESH did not carry out imports, which suggests that until now, the needs have been met by the production in the Cascade of Drin.
Meanwhile, these expenses have increased the bill for the purchase of energy for the year 2024, bringing it to almost 59.3 million euros. This amount was spent only from the middle of June, when the first imports started, since almost until the middle of the year no procedure for energy insurance was carried out.
In total, during the year 2024, more than 458,000 mWh of energy were imported, while the average price is estimated at around 124 euros/mUh.
