6,000 families benefit from discounts for air conditioners - North Macedonia offers coupons for low-income families
The Ministry of Energy, Mines and Mineral Resources in North Macedonia announces that it has started giving coupons for the purchase and installation of inverter air conditioners, intended for families that meet the criteria of the public call, published on the website of the Ministry of Economy.
According to the Program for encouraging energy efficiency in households for 2024, more than 6,000 coupons for inverter air conditioners will be given.
The lists of selected beneficiaries, as well as the lists of legal entities with which the Ministry has concluded agreements for the realization of coupons, have been published on its official website.
To clarify the process, the competition and selection of beneficiaries was managed by the institution itself, which was responsible for the evaluation and final selection of citizens who meet the conditions, the ministry announced.
Citizens can use coupons for the purchase of inverter air conditioners no later than November 30, 2024. After this date, unused coupons will be considered invalid. According to the public announcement for financial support, bonds of 438 euros are offered for people with low incomes, income up to 340 euros for single people, 486 euros for apartments with two members and 568 euros for houses with three residents. For apartments with four members, a coupon of 486 euros is provided, while for those with five or more residents, 730 euros.
Likewise, for non-vulnerable consumers from the region of Pellagonia and the Southwest, bonds of 405 euros have been provided, while for other regions 373 euros, the Ministry of Energy announces.
