Problems on the “X” platform - According to Musk, the cyber attack

Social media platform X has suffered an outage, with owner Elon Musk saying it was the work of a powerful cyberattack.

"We are attacked every day, but this is done with a lot of resources. A large, coordinated group, or a state is involved," Musk said in a post on X earlier Monday.

Musk later said that the cyberattack came from IP addresses originating in the Ukraine area.

Musk was asked during an interview about the pressure of running the Department of Government Efficiency and his other businesses. "With great difficulty," Musk replied.

Tesla lost $130 billion in stock market value in a sell-off on Wall Street that left the electric car maker's shares at their lowest level since October.

Tesla shares fell 15% to $222.15, heavily weighing on the Nasdaq .IXIC, which fell 4% on fears that the Trump administration's tariffs against major U.S. trading partners could tip the country into recession.

United States President Donald Trump announced that he will buy a new Tesla car to show support for the electric carmaker's chief executive and ally Elon Musk amid recent protests and a plunge in the company's stock price.

Musk's role in sweeping federal workforce cuts ordered by Trump has led to protests in the US against Tesla.

About 350 demonstrators protested outside a Tesla electric vehicle dealership in Portland, Oregon, last week, while nine people were arrested during a noisy demonstration in New York.
