Nvidia unveils robot training technology - New chips will use artificial

Artificial intelligence to better train robots, cars and gaming chips dominated Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang's keynote as the world's second most valuable firm explained the potential to further expand the business .

Nvidia introduced what it calls 'core' models of the Cosmos platform that generate photorealistic videos that can be used to train robots and self-driving cars at a much lower cost than using conventional data.

By creating what's known in the tech industry as "synthetic" training data, models can help robots and machines understand the physical world just as large language models helped chatbots generate natural language responses.

Users will be able to give the Cosmos system a text description that can be used to generate videos of a world that obeys the laws of physics.

The new gaming chips use Nvidia's 'Blackwell' technology to give video games movie-like graphics, making them look more realistic. The new chips also feature artificial intelligence technology to help game developers accurately generate human faces and object shapes.

Nvidia also said Toyota Motor will use its Orin chips and automotive operating system to provide advanced driver assistance in some models.

Huang expects automotive hardware and software revenue of $5 billion in fiscal 2026, up from $4 billion expected this year.
