"Elon Musk's statements provoke violence"/ Britain criticizes

The British government has sharply criticized statements by American billionaire and Tesla CEO Elon Musk during demonstrations in London against illegal immigration.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer called Elon Musk's statements dangerous, but he nevertheless refused to sanction the billionaire. Starmer wrote on Platform X: "The UK is a nation that prides itself on tolerance, diversity and respect. Peaceful protest is a core value of our country."

The British people do not want this "dangerous and inflammatory language," a spokesman for Prime Minister Starmer said. The United Kingdom is "a fair, tolerant and dignified country," the spokesman said. Such statements "provoke violence and intimidation on our streets."

During the massive demonstration with over 110,000 participants in central London, Musk connected via video conference. In his speech, he emphasized that the British public is "afraid to exercise freedom of thought." The public media, the BBC, according to Musk, is "complicit in the destruction of Great Britain."

Musk also addressed the issues of immigration and Brexit. Addressing right-wing demonstrators, he said: "Whether you choose violence or not, violence comes to you. Either defend yourself or you die." Musk called for the dissolution of parliament in London and the replacement of Starmer's Labour government.

Musk has previously attacked the British government and public opinion, saying that freedom of expression is under threat in the UK. The issue of illegal immigration to the UK has been a hot topic of debate, particularly over the arrival of migrants in small boats across the English Channel. More than 30,000 people have arrived in the UK this year via this route. The accommodation of asylum seekers in hotels sparked protests over the summer.
