Reconstruction requires more money. The budget changes: 106 million euros are added, but the fund for salaries is reduced
At the end of the year, the government has decided to change the state budget again. Referring to the normative act, dated December 1, 2022, budget revenues and expenses increase respectively by 5 billion ALL compared to the normative act approved in July, while the budget deficit remains unchanged at 83.8 billion ALL. But what exactly changes?
It has been decided to increase the fund for the reconstruction process from the original 20 billion ALL provided in the initial budget to 32.4 billion ALL.
With this fund, the liquidation of invoices for those reconstruction projects where the process has progressed rapidly is foreseen.
The fund for new wage policies is reduced from $1.9 billion in the July act to $1.2 billion in the normative act. While the fund for the estimated expropriations worth $3 billion is abolished, referring to the changes in the budget, the local government will receive 1 billion ALL as a specific transfer, which will be distributed to 61 municipalities and used to pay off arrears.
