A recent report published by Worldometer sheds light on the average life expectancy of people in different countries of the world, including historical data from 1955 to 2025. According to this report, Albania ranks in a relatively favorable position compared to other countries. This data ranks the country in 47th place out of a total of 201 countries in the world.
In the Balkan region, the situation is presented with slight differences between countries. Bosnia and Herzegovina is in 58th place with an average life expectancy of 78 years.
