About 50 million euros more for order and security / Increasing police

The budget of the "Ministry of the Interior" foresees a fund of 31 billion lek in 2025, or about 50 million euros more, compared to 2024. Expressed in currency, this figure approximates to about 310 million euros. According to the data, the increase is estimated at 20% and this is the largest budget that this institution has had.

Divided according to items, the largest weight is occupied by the budget that will be allocated for the State Police, with around 252 million euros. Meanwhile, around 25.4 million euros have been provided for the Guard of the Republic.

The draft budget report for 2025 focuses on some of the priorities through which the "Ministry of the Interior" aims to protect human rights and freedoms as well as guarantee the safety of citizens' lives, health and property.

Increase in public safety and road safety through patrolling, increase in police operations investigated and services performed to an average of 43,718 operations, increase in conventional special operations to an average of 241 operations and increase in special forces operations to apprehend perpetrators of serious crimes to 250 operations in 2027, from 235 operations that are foreseen in 2024 are some of the results that are intended to be achieved by the next two years.

The "Ministry of the Interior" also aims to contribute to the continuous improvement of the Security of Local and Foreign Personalities, of Objects of Special Importance through the increase of management capacities and compliance with European standards in the field of security.
