New Technology and Economic Development Zone in Shijak - Operating period, 35 years. What activities will be carried out?
The government has approved the declaration of a technology and economic development zone, as well as the developers of the zone located in Xhafzotaj, Shijak, thus paving the way for a strategic investment for the industrial and technological development of the country.
But what will be the activities that will take place in the new technology and economic development zone?
According to the decision of the Council of Ministers, proposed by the Ministry of Culture and Innovation, it is envisaged that a series of economic activities will be developed within this zone, which are of the following types: manufacturing industry; vehicle and spare parts industry; information and communication technology (ICT) industry; electrical and electronic equipment industry; energy products industry; heavy industry; light industry and agro-processing; processing and storage of goods; trade and export-import; services; other industries, in accordance with Albanian legislation.
Meanwhile, the company "VERTIGO", sh.pk, is announced as the developer of the technology and economic development zone.
Also, the extent, boundaries, entry and exit points of the technology and economic development zone are determined in the master plan attached to this decision. The territory where this center will be built has an area of 135,215 m2 and the period of operation of the zone is 35 years, with the right of renewal up to 99 years.
This area is expected to become an important center for the development of modern industries and will contribute to increasing employment, improving infrastructure, and attracting investment.
