VKM/ Government approves the National Strategy for Cybersecurity 2025–2030. Expropriations approved in Tirana!
The Council of Ministers, at today's meeting, adopted a series of decisions:
- The adoption, in principle, of the United Nations Convention against Cybercrime; Strengthening international cooperation in combating certain crimes committed through information and communication technology systems and in sharing evidence of serious crimes in electronic form, done in New York, on 24.12.2024.
- Approval of the National Cyber Security Strategy 2025 - 2030 and its action plan 2025 - 2027.
- Decision on determining the rules, measures, exemptions from sanctions and the procedure for the collection and administration of the travel information transmission fee.
*This decision sets out the rules, the amount, exemptions from sanctions and the procedure for the collection and administration of the fee, which is paid by carriers that transmit travel information to the systems of the Travel Intelligence Sector. The decision applies to all land, air and water carriers operating in entry, exit or transit in the territory of the Republic of Albania, in accordance with Law No. 38/2025, “On the processing of travel information in the Republic of Albania”.
- Decision on the approval of the Rules for the treatment, use, sale, export, import, administration and transport of timber and non-timber forest products, as well as the categorization of forest highways, their use and technical standards.
*The purpose of this decision is to determine the rules related to: the treatment and use of wood and non-wood forest products, with the aim of benefiting from them and guaranteeing the sustainable management and continuity of production of the National Forest Fund; the sale, export (permitted cases), import, administration and transport of wood and non-wood forest products, medicinal essential oils and natural tannins (BMET); the categorization of forest roads, their use and technical standards, the rules for their construction, repair and maintenance; ç) determining the criteria for marking with indelible ink and placing labels on wood products.
Two expropriation decisions have also been approved:
- Expropriation in the public interest, of the owners of real estate, private property, affected by the implementation of the project "Rehabilitation of the building space at the intersection of "Kujtim Laro" and "Kongresi i Manastirit" streets, Tirana Municipality".
- Expropriation, in the public interest, of the owners of real estate, private property, affected by the implementation of the project "Rehabilitation, reconstruction of the Viroi bridge".
