"Mountain Package" presented - Prime Minister Rama: Amendment to the law to solve land issues

Prime Minister Edi Rama is participating in the presentation of the “Mountains Package.” He stated that “on the first day alone there were 800 expressions of interest and the vast majority are Albanians outside Albania, which speaks for itself about the attractive power of this package.”
He further said: "We are holding this meeting because it is moving at a slow pace compared to what the package itself essentially has speed, in the sense of a simplified bureaucracy and to provide a very quick response to those who express interest, and this delay is discouraging for those who have expressed interest and have not yet received a response. It is completely the opposite of the spirit in which this package was conceived. I have requested that the law be amended in order to resolve the land issue."
Meanwhile, the Minister of Local Government, Ervin Demo, stated: "The instruction is very clear about the facilities that municipalities have for determining these areas in terms of priorities to declare them as priority areas, so that those who are interested have the opportunity to develop these areas.
"In just 5 municipalities, there are 33 projects that have been identified as having high potential, their value starts at 10 million euros, it is about new jobs and the creation of a complete economic chain. There will be no problems in the territory, the procedures will continue only when there are no conflicts."
According to the Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj, the "Mountain Package" is a new policy that provides a solution to an old problem. "We have thought of a mechanism that requires coordination of all institutions so that the potential that this territory has is developed and freed from the problems of the past. You should follow the example of Tropoja, Elbasan, Belshi, Përmet, Skrapar, who have submitted their request, as the first 500 beneficiaries also have fiscal facilities. We will give investors the right to buy land at a symbolic price of 1 euro with the aim of making investments and promoting year-round tourism."
