The national action to formalize the agricultural sector and strengthen food security is continuing in several regions of the country. State structures are cooperating closely to guarantee safe products and a regular market for farmers. The controls so far have brought concrete results in preventing abuses and increasing transparency.
"The national action, now extended to the regions of Tirana, Durrës, Fier, Lezhë and Korçë, continues with intensity to formalize and improve food safety.
As a result of 151 controls carried out, 63 tons of agricultural and livestock products without invoices were blocked.
This process is a coordinated effort between the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, with the relevant structures to formalize the agricultural sector, strengthen control over food safety, and guarantee the inclusion of farmers in the formal market through product traceability, tax invoicing, and identification with NIPT.
"We invite taxpayers to implement tax laws by issuing fiscal invoices at every link in the food chain to ensure traceability and transparency from producer to consumer," the announcement states.
