Only 33% of companies informed about the reforms - Where should Albanian

"The Ministry of Economy has been actively engaged in the plan to raise awareness and inform businesses about the process and what to expect, because if they are not prepared, they will have a very difficult time."

This was stated by Prime Minister Edi Rama at the end-of-year press conference. But how informed are companies about these changes and how prepared are they to adapt?

As the country advances with reforms related to European Union standards, the level of information to businesses remains limited. The latest data from the Investment Council Survey shows that only 33% of companies surveyed declare that they are very or somewhat informed about the National Reform Agenda.

Economic experts estimate that this lack of recognition could directly affect the ability of businesses to adapt to the demands of the European market. The reforms include stronger standards for financial transparency, working conditions, environmental protection, digitalization and reporting procedures.

Businesses aiming to be competitive in an integrated market must start investing in certifications, improving internal processes and training staff. But business representatives say there is often a lack of practical guidance and simplified information on how to implement these changes.

According to them, the role of institutions is essential at this stage, through practical guides, information campaigns and direct training for businesses, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises.

In the context of rapprochement with the EU, adaptation is no longer seen as a choice, but as a necessity for market development and sustainability.
