The two tunnels connecting Elbasan with Librazhd – Balluku: Ready by the end of the year!
The Prime Minister of the country, Edi Rama, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister, Belinda Balluku and Ministers Arbjan Mazniku and Bora Muzhaqi, inspected today one of the most important construction sites of Corridor VIII, where the two 1.1 km long tunnels connecting Elbasan and Librazhd are being built, which are expected to be completed within this year.
"The investment is expected to be completed at the end of this year, while part of the project is the construction of two bridges that are directly connected to the tunnel," said Balluku.
Balluku informed that geological fractures make the situation difficult but not impossible to see the light at the end of the tunnel in September of this year.
This road is of category "B", interurban with 2 lanes on each side, about 23.5 m each side, with two shoulders, plus the emergency shoulder.
