The first Italy-Albania intergovernmental summit takes place in Rome today

The first Italy-Albania intergovernmental summit is taking place in Rome today. In a post on social media, Prime Minister Edi Rama considered this meeting "a historic day in Albania's international relations."

According to Prime Minister Rama, 16 new concrete cooperation agreements will be signed at this meeting within the framework of the close strategic partnership with our precious western neighbor,

The main agreements to be signed are: strategic cooperation in health, energy, environment, security, defense, innovation and sustainable development. Meanwhile, the main agreement is a memorandum of bilateral cooperation that will be signed by the heads of the two governments.

The Albanian delegation accompanying Prime Minister Rama consists of: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku; Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Elisa Spiropali; Minister of Internal Affairs, Albana Koçiu; Minister of Finance, Petrit Malaj; Director General of the State Police, Ilir Proda; Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu; Minister of Health and Social Protection, Evis Sala; Minister of Economy and Innovation, Delina Ibrahimaj; Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sports, Blendi Gonxhja.

While the Italian delegation consists of Ministers Tajani, Piantedosi, Nordio, Crosetto, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, Giuli, Schillaci, Musumeci and Undersecretaries Freni and Ferrante.
