SME Support Schemes - Investment Development Agency announces calls. Deadline

The Albanian Investment Development Agency opens the call for the support and development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises for 2025.

According to the announcement published by AIDA, this call supports the development of MSMEs, aiming to increase the competitiveness of enterprises, the development of products and services, innovation, technology renewal, the development of crafts, as well as supporting women entrepreneurs, with the aim of encouraging them towards export and strengthening their skills related to services and products for a sustainable market.

The submitted project proposals must adhere to the specific criteria and conditions for the benefit of MSMEs for 2025. Also, this call aims to support these businesses that operate within the territory of the country. AIDA administers the fund "For the development of enterprises", which is financed from the state budget.

The 2025 Fund will support enterprises through two main schemes. The first scheme, which envisages providing financial support for current expenses, provides financing of up to 2,500,000 lek. It will also cover 100% of the costs for certification of production standards and training of enterprise staff.

Meanwhile, the second scheme supports capital expenditures and includes two main directions. The first direction includes projects aimed at competitiveness, where the financing value goes up to 1,500,000 lek and 100% of the costs will be covered, for the purchase of machinery that affects the increase in production and improvement of product quality.

Meanwhile, the second direction includes projects for handicrafts, where the financing value goes up to 1,000,000 lek and the costs will be covered for the purchase of machinery to improve working conditions for the business, as well as for the purchase of e-commerce applications or programs.

It is also determined that micro, small and medium-sized enterprises that have received funding from donors or national and international financial institutions for the same items or activities allowed by these projects will not benefit from this fund. According to the announcement, the call for project proposals will remain open until February 28, 2025, 2:00 p.m.
