Fire situation in the country/MoD: 4 fires still active, 350 forces on the ground
During the last 24 hours, 25 fires have been reported in the country's territory, of which 4 remain active and another is under monitoring, the Ministry of Defense announced.
350 operational forces and 26 firefighting vehicles have been deployed in operations to cope with the situation. In support of the structures on the ground, the Armed Forces have deployed 140 personnel, 3 helicopters and 2 "Air Tractor" aircraft.
The main active foci are in Dajt and Priska in Tirana, Lufaj in Mirdita and Tërbun in Puka.
In Dajt, the operation to isolate and extinguish the fire continues with 50 Armed Forces personnel, 15 firefighters and 5 AZM forces. According to the Ministry of Defense, the situation is under control and there is no danger to residential areas.
In Tërbun i Puka, the intervention continues with the engagement of local structures, volunteers and the Armed Forces, supported by two helicopters. There is no reported danger to homes in this area either.
Meanwhile, the situation appears to have improved in some of the affected areas in recent days. The outbreaks in Gurë-Lura, Bruç i Matit, Tharrë i Mirdita and Selenica have been completely extinguished.
In Qafë Helmes, monitoring of the situation and intervention by local structures continue, while operational capacities remain on standby for any new situation.
Civil Protection structures continue monitoring and interventions on the ground, with priority given to the complete isolation of active outbreaks and the protection of citizens' lives, homes and property.
