How will vehicle taxes be paid in e-Albania? - Haxhiu: This innovation is a financial and time saving for citizens
"All citizens who own a vehicle, as of today, will no longer need to go to the counters to pay their vehicle taxes, but this service will be offered to them through the e-Albania government application and portal."
But what are the benefits that citizens will have from this innovation of the General Directorate of Road Transport Services?
"Of course, under our motto and project "Attention to citizens", starting today, September 30, DPSHTRR, in cooperation with AKSHI and e-Albania, bring the innovation of online payment of vehicle taxes, through the e-Albania portal. Which means in principle, saving the walking distance of citizens or entities, the way from their work, to our premises, to the regional directorates, and this in a calculation saves about 57 million new lek. This innovation goes to about 157 thousand drivers, also saves about 4.7 million km, so the walking distance of DPSHTRR, DSHTRR and the environment where he can work, so it is such an average. And also, about 331 thousand liters of fuel. It is a great convenience, financial savings, time savings and savings in every other aspect of the citizen's life," says Endri Haxhiu, Director of DPSHTRR.
But what are the steps to pay vehicle taxes through e-Albania?
"The citizen only needs to have the e-albania application on his computer or phone, identify himself as a user, go to the space to pay my taxes, so always if he is the owner of the vehicle or vehicles, as a citizen as well as a subject and follow all the necessary steps until the online finalization in real time of the tax payment. This is a great innovation, a great convenience for citizens", he said.
Meanwhile, the General Directorate of Road Transport Services emphasizes that it will continue its cooperation with the entire banking sector to bring even more space to the payment process, as well as access to digital services, with all second-tier banks in Albania.
