The state pays 70% for water heating panels - Applications are closed. Out of 3953 applications, 2000 of them were declared winners
3953 applications were submitted to the Energy Efficiency Agency to benefit from the 70% subsidy scheme for solar panels for water heating, while 2000 of them were declared winners. This department has announced the completion of the review of the applications, while currently some of the beneficiary families have started installing the plants.
In total, 850 families have already installed the plants, while the rest are in the process of selecting the company that will provide them with the service of purchasing the equipment and installing it, according to the list made available by the Energy Efficiency Agency.
In total, there are 14 companies that can be selected by qualified families who will benefit from the 70% subsidy scheme for solar panels for water heating. Each of them has listed offers according to the size of the plant and the corresponding price, ranging from 75 thousand lek, which is the lowest, to 168 thousand lek, which is the most expensive plant.
Meanwhile, referring to the scheme, if a family chooses to install a panel that costs 168 thousand lek, then it will have to pay 50,400 lek from its personal budget, while the remaining 117,600 lek will be subsidized by the state.
This is the second year of application of the scheme to encourage the use of solar panels for water heating by household customers.
This scheme aims to reduce electricity consumption, improve the supply of hot sanitary water, and reduce CO2 emissions. According to a study conducted by the Energy Regulatory Authority, the cost of heating water accounts for 19% of the electricity bill.
