Albania takes over the presidency of the Transport Community
From Brussels, Albania, in its role as chair of the Presidency of the Transport Community, is leading regional efforts for a more integrated transport system with the European Union and for the development of modern infrastructure in the Western Balkans.
During the 9th Ministerial Meeting of the Transport Community, held in Brussels, the Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Enkelejda Mucaj, emphasized Albania's determination to advance the harmonization of legislation with the EU acquis, strengthen interconnection through the TEN-T network and increase regional cooperation in the function of greener, safer and more inclusive transport.
The focus of the discussions was on the continuation of reforms, the implementation of agreed measures and maximizing the impact of infrastructure projects in the region. Through this commitment, Albania confirms its role as a promoter of European integration and sustainable development in the Western Balkans.
