Albania will have a Faith Park - International Competition for the Masterplan Opens. 40 thousand euros for the winner
The National Territorial Planning Agency has announced the opening of the tender for the Besimi Park, an international competition for the design of the Masterplan.
According to the document published by the Public Procurement Agency, the Faith Park is inspired by the values of religious harmony and coexistence that characterize Albania, which are virtues inherited from generation to generation. The proposed competition site is located in the Petrela area, on an area of approximately 210,000 square meters.
This international masterplan design competition aspires to embody these values, aiming to generate a new concept of “community” and “housing”.
The park will provide spaces for rest and interaction for different groups, nationalities and faiths. Through an emphasis on coexistence, this project will create a new spatial dynamic in the capital, improving the quality of life and celebrating the resilience and unity of the Albanian people, in all their faiths.
Referring to the document, the prize or reimbursement that will be applied to the winning candidate is 40 thousand euros, and the same amount will also be applied to the candidates ranked in second, third, fourth and fifth place.
Also, the selected team must demonstrate a creative and innovative approach in the design of the Faith Park, where the team must effectively realize the required functions in harmony with the existing context.
The proposal must be feasible and offer opportunities for the creation of entrepreneurial mechanisms, as well as self-sufficiency after the establishment of the park. Meanwhile, the experience of the Park must offer an experience that balances efficiency and transformative impact on visitors.
