"Perfume from Albania to Europe" - Rama: Investments in infrastructure

Foreign investment in Albania is affecting every sector, including perfume production. One such example is the case of a Dutch company, which has built its perfume production facility near the port of Durrës and exports products with the “Made in Albania” brand to European Union countries.

During a visit to this company, Prime Minister Edi Rama emphasized that such cases represent development models for the country and that the increase in salaries is helping to preserve human resources within the country.

"This is a model reality. I am pleased with what I heard from the Dutch entrepreneur about the quality of Albanian employees and their dedication. This is not only a beautiful reality in appearance, but a concrete example where employees are paid with dignity — with a minimum salary of 700 euros and an average of around 900 euros. Therefore, the company has no difficulty in finding staff. I am pleased with the fact that here holidays are respected, women have the opportunity to spend more time with their families and take care of their personal lives. We have decided to impose this standard in other companies where basic conditions are lacking and employees' rights are not respected,"  said Prime Minister Rama.

According to data from the Bank of Albania, foreign direct investments from the Netherlands in Albania amounted to around 107 million euros during the first nine months of 2023.
