Albania and Poland formalize social security agreement

Albania welcomes the signing by the President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, of the Agreement on Social Security between the Republic of Albania and Poland. The agreement aims to guarantee the protection of the social rights of citizens who have worked or lived in both countries.
The agreement provides for the recognition and totalization of insurance periods, enabling citizens to have years of work and contributions paid in one country taken into account for social security benefits in another country.
The Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs has assessed this agreement as an important step towards strengthening the rights and opportunities for Albanian citizens living and working abroad.
The agreement with Poland joins the network of agreements that Albania has concluded with various countries for the coordination of social security systems and the recognition of work and contribution periods.
In this way, Albanian citizens who have worked in Poland will have a clearer framework for recognizing years of insurance and benefiting from rights related to pensions and social security.
