Albania and France strengthen partnership for tourism development - Topuzi and Dervishi: Towards new standards, innovation and international cooperation

The development of tourism and the strengthening of cooperation between Albania and France were at the center of the conference organized today, which was attended by representatives of the tourism sector from both countries. The event highlighted the importance of international partnership and the opportunities that open up for Albania in European markets, especially the French one. The representative of the French Embassy in Albania, Samuel Richard, emphasized the extraordinary transformation of the country over the last two decades.
"I got to know Albania 20 years ago. The change is incredible, not only through the desire to discover Albania, not only through the number of tourists that has increased. But incredible because until today, I myself am a tourist in Albania, you have managed to maintain your signature, to maintain your identity signature, through the way of hospitality, tradition, culture."
Meanwhile, the president of the Hotel Association, Zak Topuzi, focused on the challenges and necessities of the new phase that Albanian tourism is going through.
"Tourism is in a dynamic phase, and with high rates of development, it requires more sophistication. At the center of this transformation are three important elements. Innovation is no longer a luxury, without innovation and without the digitalized network, without digital marketing, today we can no longer talk about it. It is the only opportunity to move forward. The second point is service, without a quality service and qualified people it is impossible to move forward in this fierce competition, and the third point is international cooperation."
On the other hand, the head of the Association of Restaurants and Inns, Kujtim Dervishi, highlighted the significant progress in this field.
"In the field of accommodation, Albania has made important steps towards contemporary standards. Our objective is to increase the quality of service and follow global tourism trends."
The conference closed with the message that cooperation between Albania and France remains an important pillar for the further development of the sector, which is gaining more and more importance in the Albanian economy.
