The GRECO report was presented, where Albania has made significant progress in strengthening integrity and the fight against corruption. Prime Minister Rama emphasized that according to the assessment, Albania is considered a regional leader in anti-corruption policies, while warning that there will be another wave of reforms from good governance to justice.

“Albania is considered a regional leader in anti-corruption policies, with the highest results in the Balkan economy for the measure of anti-corruption policies, significantly surpassing the region in the areas of corruption prevention, as well as in the field of criminal investigations and prosecutions, efforts to prevent and combat corruption, according to the report, thanks to a comprehensive legal and institutional framework. This is a set of facts that explains why Albania today is at the forefront of the Western Balkans integration process into the EU, why Albania today has taken steps to conclude negotiations within 2027.”

The Prime Minister stated that the Cadastre will be digitalized and that Artificial Intelligence will be implemented.

"While we move forward with the full digitalization of the Cadastre, thanks to the support of the EC, we will work to introduce Artificial Intelligence into the Cadastre processes. In the justice system, we are still in the stone age, we conduct interviews in the Prosecutor's Office and the Police without audio and video."

"All states are subject to this very rigorous lens and from a comparative perspective it is easily concluded that even states with a much more solid institutional heritage than Albania encounter considerable difficulties in implementing GRECO recommendations. We have given this process due attention, as more than a moment in time to enjoy the successful conclusion of a round, this is a clear and irrefutable evidence of our continuous efforts to improve accountability standards at all levels of public governance. Integrity is not a final destination, but a standard to be reaffirmed every day. Yes, we have challenged skepticism and have proven that Albania can and will make irreversible steps towards integrity and the rule of law. This progress is an increased commitment that forces us to work even harder, " said Minister Pirdeni.

On the other hand, the Director General for Human Rights at the Council of Europe, Gianluca Esposito, emphasized that the Albanian authorities have established a system in line with GRECO standards.
