First session of the 11th legislature of the Assembly - The mandate verification commission is established. Tensions from the opposition again
The 140 deputies elected in the May 11 elections addressed the Assembly this Friday, thus starting the work for the 11th legislature.
The session was attended by ambassadors, representatives of the diplomatic corps, representatives of constitutional institutions, religious communities, etc.
The MP for Vlora, socialist Vasil Llajo, led the proceedings of this session, stating that every law, every reform, every decision must have the citizen at its center.
The three youngest members of Parliament, Mariana Koçeku, Zegjine Çaushi, and Klodiana Çapja, were announced as the interim secretaries of the Parliament, a position which Democrat Klodiana Çapja did not accept.
After this, Llajo called out the names of 140 deputies, while a temporary commission for the verification of mandates was established with 6 representatives from the majority and 3 from the opposition, but not the last one refused to cooperate.
The committee was established with MPs Milva Ekonomi, Olsi Komici, Aulona Bylykbashi, Hatixhe Konomi, Elton Koreshi and Arkend Balla, names proposed by the leader of the socialist parliamentary group, Taulant Balla.
After the verification of the mandates by the temporary committee, the deputies will return to the Assembly at 5:00 PM to be sworn in.
