How much do Albanians insure property against fire? - AMF: In 9 months, the

Voluntary insurance premiums during the period January-November 2024 reached about 8.5 billion ALL, 6.69% more than in the same period of 2023.

Also, the number of voluntary insurance contracts increased by 5.13%. Voluntary non-life insurance premiums increased by 5.95% compared to the period January - November 2023.

In 9 months, over 3.6 billion ALL income was secured in the Property, Liability, Guarantee portfolios, where the first place took Fire and Other Property Damage with about 67.35%, followed by General Liability insurance with 22.03% of the total.

Fire and natural disaster insurances have marked a significant increase in the period January-November 2024.

The official statistics of the insurance market show that in the insurance portfolio from Fire and Forces of Nature, during the period January - November 2024, an increase of 3.62% in the volume of gross written premiums of this portfolio and an increase of 2.00% in the number of insurance contracts.

On the other hand, the income from accident and health insurance during the period January - November 2024 reached about 1.2 billion ALL, marking an increase of 1.15% compared to the first period of the previous year.

Life insurance premiums reached about ALL 1.8 billion, or 9.88% more than in the same period of the previous year.
