Rinas, over 1 million passengers in June alone - Air connections with France, Spain and Cyprus are increasing
Tirana International Airport is continuing its positive trend, confirming the steady growth of air traffic in Albania. During the month of June 2025 alone, TIA welcomed around 1.15 million passengers, a significant increase compared to May.
During the same period, 6,830 flights were operated, connecting Tirana with 103 destinations in 31 countries, through 27 airlines operating at this airport.
The most sought-after destinations remain Italian and British cities, with Milan, London, Rome, Bologna and Venice topping the list of travelers' preferences.
In addition to the increase in numbers, TIA has also added new direct routes during the period April-June 2025, strengthening connections to new European destinations. The new routes include Nantes and Bordeaux in France, Larnaca in Cyprus, as well as Málaga and Malta.
Meanwhile, the airport is preparing for the influx of the summer season, where figures are expected to exceed those of last year. With the arrival of foreign tourists and the trips of Albanian vacationers abroad, TIA is ranking among the airports with the fastest growth in air traffic in the region in the last two years.
