Selection of the energy supplier - ERE imposes the obligation: Prices and offers are public on the platform
All electricity suppliers must publish their offers on the Price Comparison Platform, set up by the Energy Regulatory Authority.
The obligation comes from a newly approved decision by ERE, which also requires not only the public of prices, but also the determination of validity periods for each published offer, starting from 02.12.2024.
The obligation to publish offers comes at a time when the Electricity Distribution Operator has announced that from January 1 of the coming year, about 2,600 businesses that are connected to the 10 kV voltage will enter the free energy market, choosing their supplier.
This announcement followed last year's with the liberalization of about 2100 businesses connected to the 20 kV voltage, while earlier the businesses connected to the 35 kV voltage were also disconnected.
Even the ERE platform has been set up in the framework of the liberalization of the electricity market, to enable customers to receive information about the prices of electricity offered by different suppliers.
Its main purpose is precisely to help customers in choosing their electricity supplier transparently, enabling them to compare possible offers from retail electricity suppliers.
