Solar panels for water heating/Balluku: 3526 citizens have applied so far in the second call
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku announced today that 3,526 citizens have so far applied in the second call for the installation of solar panels for water heating, which are subsidized at a rate of 70% from the budget of the Energy Efficiency Agency (EEA), and that 900 of these applications have been approved so far.
"Expert groups are reviewing each application, and so far 900 of them have been approved, coming from every corner of the country," she stated.
Applications, which are still ongoing, opened on February 24th and 2,000 families will benefit from this call.
Installing solar panels for water heating directly reduces household electricity bills by 20-30%.
Meanwhile, the winners of the first call cannot apply again for the same apartment/energy contract.
