The government will give more focus to encouraging young people towards vocational education in the coming years in order to meet the demands that businesses currently have for labor force.

Referring to the draft budget document, it is intended to increase access to vocational secondary education aiming to attract 20% of students who follow the cycle of secondary education in 2026, from the 17.9% expected to reach the end of 2024.

Meanwhile, importance is given to employment after graduation, this is intended to increase the percentage of graduates/certificates employed 1 year after graduation from 47.25% in 2024, to 57.7% in 2025, to 58% in 2026 and 58.7% in 2027.

So, in a period of three years, the number of students who have a diploma in vocational education and are employed, increases by 11.5%.
