From vocational training to entrepreneurship - AKPA: Over 13 thousand women employed during 2025

The National Employment and Skills Agency announces that it continues to support the economic empowerment of girls and women in Albania through concrete employment and vocational training programs, creating new opportunities for their integration into the labor market and for the development of professional skills.
According to data from AKPA, during 2025, 13,308 girls and women were employed and registered with employment offices throughout the country. Likewise, 7,296 girls and women attended courses and training programs to improve their skills and adapt to the demands of the labor market. These programs aim to increase their competitiveness and open up new opportunities for long-term employment.
Meanwhile, through subsidized employment promotion programs, 2,825 girls and women have been employed, benefiting from the financial support and incentives that the state offers to businesses that choose to employ women and girls.
Another element is support for female entrepreneurship. Thanks to the self-employment program, 177 girls and women have managed to create their own businesses, becoming not only self-employed, but also active contributors to economic development.
The National Employment and Skills Agency emphasizes that its mission remains to support and empower girls and women through vocational training and the creation of real opportunities for sustainable employment. Through these programs, it is aimed that more and more women are an active part of the labor market, building a more secure future for themselves and their families.
