Bonus distribution for pensioners starts on Monday - Rama: Salaries and pensions

In the weekly podcast "Flasim", Prime Minister Edi Rama repeated the promise made to pensioners about the end-of-year bonus.

Starting on Monday, December 1, the distribution of the year-end bonus will officially begin. Just like last year, this time, those with a pension of up to 20 thousand lek will receive a bonus of 15 thousand lek, while those with a pension of over 20 thousand lek will receive a bonus of 10 thousand lek.

Rama also spoke about another promise, that there will be an increase in salaries and pensions during the fourth term.

"From January 1, 2026, the minimum wage will also increase, exactly as we have pledged. It will be 500 euros, both in the public and private sectors," said Rama.

Rama's full speech on pensions and salaries:

This week we approved the end-of-year bonus for pensioners, putting an end to the rumors of the great political and media swamp, which poisoned grandparents with the false information that this end-of-year bonus would be distributed every month of next year and this year there would be no bonus. No, the bonuses have been directed towards pensioners and anyone with a pension of up to 20 thousand new lek will receive a bonus of 150 euros, while anyone with a pension of over 20 thousand new lek will be rewarded with 100 euros.

Meanwhile, with the entry of the new year 2026, the new history of pension increases begins, which will begin to increase from January and will double in January 2027, triple in January 2028, quadruple in January 2029, and quintuple in January 2030.

On January 1, 2026, the minimum wage will also increase, just as we have pledged. It will be 500 euros, both in the public and private sectors.
